Fish Outta Water
i've been on this kick for a little while that i'm not going to date anyone until i'm 27. if you're a close friend of mine, chances are you've heard me mention this. yesterday while driving back from a church engagement, i realized that if i lived in southwest ohio you wouldn't shake your head at my obstinate ways, because by living here i'd be forced to stay single indefinitely. i figure saying 27 while i live somewhere else gives me, not only a sense of hope, but an infinitely better chance than wanting to find the right guy right now in southwest ohio--for that I'd have the equivalent of a snowball's chance in hell. there is NO one around here. it's not even that i've got the "radar" up...i'm just not interested, but i guess i simply find it hilarious. i actually started to LAUGH out loud about it last night in my car. what happens from the time you're in college to a year later? does the dating pool really become that much more shallow?
the apparently shallow "water" is the main reason i'm not keen to taking that headfirst dive into the ol' dating pool. i figure a fish will just kind of leap onto the shore and make himself know to me. in the meantime, there's no need for me to dive in headfirst and risk a very serious neck injury. so the next time i mention my theory about not dating until i'm 27, instead of mocking me, i bet you'll consider joining me in the sun poolside, eh? eh?
okay...enough with the pool analogies. WHO'S WITH ME?

This has nothing to do with fish...or pools. I just thought I'd let you know that I had the best breakfast-for-dinner dinner last night at Bob's. 3 eggs, 2 bacon strips, 2 sausage links, home fries, and 2 pancakes--all for $5.99. It was scrumtrelescent. :)
Britters, you're out of control and ps no girl should jump into a pool head first, the best fish will jump out and find you ;)
A POST FROM POPSER. LOOKY THERE. Well it's about time you showed your face on my blog.
You're right about the boy thing. I guess my point was that everybody expects us to be all about dating/marriage at our age and i'm saying, 'BACK OFF...just because i'm 20-something doesn't mean that i have to speed date so i can find someone to walk down the aisle with me.'
ya feel me?
