Happy Anniversary

where does a year go? really? it's been a year to the day since i've graduated from miami university, well 364 days to be exact. at this time last year, i was sitting at cornerstone with stephanie, rachel, tara, anne, lauren, jennifer, jillian, and sarah wondering what would happen once the summer was up and how i would cope with the journey of non-student life. i was scared. i was excited. i was antsy with anticipation, and boy who can blame me...who knew it would be so different. check out what i did today:

being that saturday is an off day, i woke up at 1:45pm. once i rolled out of bed, i stayed in my pajamas for a good part of the day and only decided to change out of them to try on my schpants...again (i told you that i was excited...see 2 entries back). i checked my pits...and although less than fresh...the need was not dire and so i opted out of showering, because really what was the point, i wasn't headed anywhere and i have no one to impress. i read for a couple of hours. i thought about making myself a grilled cheese sandwich for nearly twenty minutes and then decided that i couldn't be bothered to do all of that buttering and flipping, so instead settled for two peanut butter sandwiches and a bag of doritos (cheesy...thank you very much). i was cold so i fashioned my fleece blanket into some kind of over the shoulder number that ties so that it will stay in place. i sort of kind of picked up my room and did a load of laundry and began to do kick-ups with my soccer ball. once bored with that, i briefly danced on my bed in a very rockstar-esque manner to Hot Fuss, the Killers album to which i can't stop listening, as a means of a cleaning break. then i watched Raising Helen with the girls.

now, it's after 11pm, Orange County is in the DVD player and i've got a pot of pasta boiling o the stove due to the fact that i was having a ramen noodle craving. i've put off three reference forms that i have to have done for christy, sarah toth, and ashley by tomorrow morning, which means that i'll be probably be up until atleast 1:30 or 2.

the differences between 1 year ago and now are incomprehensible. i'm exhausted just thinking about it. who knew adulthood would be so taxing? speaking as someone who has a lot of experience, i'd like to wish the class of 2005 luck on this rocky journey into responsibility and total independence. call me if you need pointers.

jen, i think travel-versary might work better than travel-o-versary. it seems to roll off of my tongue more. does this mean that it's been 2 years since you left your kiwi homeland...or would it be more like 3? DO YOU HAVE A BLOG? BECAUSE IF YOU DO, YOU'VE TOTALLY BEEN HOLDING OUT ON ME MRS. K! i'm outraged even considering the notion.
