yesterday me and the teammies had an adventure to a little place i like to call york, apparently other people like to call it york too. anyway, i digress, it was an idea concocted by our fearless leaders sarah and ryan which started with a proposal to go to birmingham for the day to build the morale of our crew of nine and to share praises from the past semester. the birmingham idea soon became a york idea and a week later, off we were.

our very first stop on the york day out, was at an ominous building around the corner, past an old wall, and down the street from the train station. this is where the journey REALLY began.

after paying a bargain three pounds (juuuuust over 1 penny per step) for an ascent up the great tower, we ran into our first obstacle: a very narrow, spiraling staircase. MAN was that thing intimidating. and plus, I THINK THE YORKMINSTER STAIRS ARE WEIGHT PREJUDICE. what if someone of a naturally larger build wanted to go up those stairs??? i'm not sure they could do it...pretty unfair in my eyes.

after about step 197 kevin got really tired and wanted to soak in some sunlight by resting in window, seemingly made for one of those gargoyles based on the proportions.

while kevin and i were taking a breather, little did we know, panic had ensued upstais where the man with the clicky counter was wondering why only seven in a group of nine had appeared at the top of his precious yorkminster. when kevin and i appeared, he wiped the sweat from his brow, and gave us to quick clicks, but not before danny had lost all hope....

he was so upset, he tried to climb over the metal enclosing to fling himself from the top of the yorkminster.

after a few photos, we made our descent and on a outdoor walkway, decided to have a photoshoot. we thought it was a great idea, and kc stood on the railing of the walkway to try and get us all in a photo....

the lady who could see us on CCTV or some kind of anglican church equivalent, wasn't as pleased. she came on the loud speaker and said, "COULD YOU PLEASE MOVE ACROSS THE WALKWAY." when we came down the one way spiraling staircase, we saw a group of people waiting to go up...but who couldn't because it's narrow and they were waiting for us....i ask you yorkminster, whose fault is that? (please refer to my aforementioned argument).

that was most of adventure. we went shopping later. we had a good time in york. we ate at Ye Ole Starre Inn for dinner and it hailed and it looked awesome and then it stopped hailing and then we went home.
